Edú Trota Levati é mestrando em História pela Universidade de São Paulo, onde desenvolve a pesquisa “A geopolítica da imprensa luso-americana (1808-1822)”. Antes de ingressar na USP em 2012, graduou-se em História pela Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora. No ano acadêmico de 2009-2010, fez alguns cursos de graduação e pós-graduação no Colorado College, na Harvard University e na Yale University. Desde a graduação, Edú Levati estudada o modo pelo qual a imprensa periódica interferiu em eventos políticos e econômicos centrais que tiveram lugar no mundo Ocidental de fins do século XVIII e início do XIX. Todas suas pesquisas, inclusive aqueles que desenvolveu enquanto era graduando, receberam financiamento do CNPq, da CAPES, ou da FAPESP.
Edú Trota Levati is a master’s candidate in history at Universidade de São Paulo, where he does the research entitled “The Geopolitics of Luso American Press (1808-1822)”. Before joining USP in 2012, he received his bachelor’s degree in history from Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora, Brazil. In the academic year 2009-2010, he took several undergraduate and graduate courses at Colorado College, Harvard University, and Yale University. Since he entered college in 2005, he has been studying the way through which the press interfered in major political and economic processes that took place in the Western Hemisphere from the late 18th century to the first decades of the 19th. All his researches, including the ones he carried out as an undergraduate student, have received grants from CNPq, CAPES, or FAPESP.
