Thomáz Fortunato

 

Possui graduação em andamento no Bacharelado em História pela Faculdade de Filosofia, Letras e Ciências Humanas da Universidade de São Paulo (FFLCH-USP). É membro bolsista do Programa de Educação Tutorial (PET - Ministério da Educação) do grupo PET - História/USP desde fevereiro de 2015 onde foi colaborador em 2014. É o atual coordenador editorial da revista Humanidades em Diálogo, periódico acadêmico organizado e editado por alunos dos seguintes grupos PET: Ciências Sociais, Filosofia, História e Sociologia Jurídica. Participa dos Seminários Internos do Laboratório de Estudos sobre o Brasil e o Sistema Mundial desde 2015 e atualmente faz parte do grupo de Iniciação Científica. É integrante dos núcleos de pesquisa “História do Tempo - Teoria e Metodologia” e “Capital, Estado e Trabalho: a crise da escravidão negra no longo século XIX”.

 

Undergraduate student in History at the Faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences of University of São Paulo (FFLCH-USP). It was a member of the Program of Tutorial Education (PET - Ministry of Education), linked to the Ministry of Education between february 2015 and november 2016, in which he was a collaborating member between august 2014 and january 2015. It was editorial coordinator of Humanidades em Diálogo between august of 2015 and november of 2016, having composed the editorial commission from august 2014. Throughout the year 2015 he developed the research "The Rio in the photographs of Augusto Malta: images of a city in 'regeneration'" and was monitor of the discipline "History of Colonial Brazil II". In 2016 he was a monitor of the discipline "The Economy in the Pre-Modern Societies". He is currently a researcher at the Brazil and the World System Studies Laboratory (LabMundi-USP, an institution linked to The Weatherhead Initiative on Global History, Harvard University) in the project 'Space-time in Brazil of the XVIII and XIX centuries', under the orientation of Prof. Dr. João Paulo G. Pimenta at the Department of History. It is part of the research centers 'History of Time - Theory and Methodology' and 'Capital, State and work: The Crisis of Black Slavery in the Long Nineteenth Century'.
